In my history, I used the word "cultural shaman" because I did not know what else to call fusing this understanding how the creative process could be medicine, with intention, for oneself, and the world. It wasn't for the ego, but for healing, for myself, for community, for the world. That felt like the calling. I was drawn to learn tools from what I understand now are roots in Core Shamanism, by Michael Harner, I can see that this was exploitive work. A white man in a white man hierarchical model, learning from peope with brown skin, extracting the spirtual technology, and branding it as his own, stripped of culture. I have been going to chat, as a rough gesture of an outside eye and reflected.

We took Thunder for a walk this evening, and given the arc of the path these first 66 years, I would say, I was not walking as an artist, in that, I was outside of this traditional framework, yes, embracing this identity, but I think it was much more complex than that. Last time I reflected on this I thought of these names, what other awarenesses are there? Planetary Consciousness Shifter? I chose to put fine art in the name of the website, in order to try and "fit" into the local art language scene, where I currently interface in simplicity after an  international out of the box outsider career: but technically, given the nature of the work, it is a bit misleading: these are terms that emerged as of August 2023, which are my own creation.
